Nov 6 (Wed) 10 am: Adult Bible Study in the Old Board Room, led by Wes Leis. We are continuing our journey through the New Testament. Everyone is welcome. Special Scripture Study for this year will be 2 Timothy 3:16 – 4:1-5.

Nov 29 (Fri) 5:30 pm: TGIF meets in the gym. This is a meal for young families that you don’t have to make or plan! If interested, RSVP to darryl.drudge@gmail.com by the Wednesday prior. Cost will be split, but it’s usually around $20 per family.
Congregational Life
Exam time is coming for our post-secondary students…Let them know you are thinking of them! The Care Team will be putting together treat bags (decorated by children at KidsLIFE). Items will be collected on November 3, 10, & 17. Suggestions: candy, granola bars, microwave popcorn, tea or hot chocolate, school supplies like post-it notes, highlighters, etc. A list of our students is in your church mailbox.

Our sister church, St. Agatha Mennonite, is celebrating their bicentennial on Sunday, November 3. Plan to sign the card/letter by the mailboxes that will be given to them.
SMC Cookbook – Everyone is encouraged to send in their favourite recipes for Appetizers, Potlucks, Soups, Snacks, and Desserts (including pie!). The more, the merrier! Send recipes to Pastor Sara or Jordan Maddigan by November 3.
Theatre Wellesley will be renting the Fellowship Hall, Kitchen, and rooms above the Fellowship Hall from November 3-10. They will be performing their Christmas production. There is a poster at the back of the sanctuary with dates and times. They are grateful for the use of the wonderful facilities!
Nov 6 (Wed) Morning & afternoon: All women are invited to the church to knot comforters and/or quilt. Bring a bag lunch. Drinks provided.
Nov 16 (Sat) 9 am-2 pm: Makers Market. Planning for this year’s Makers Market is underway! This year we will be joined by Ten Thousand Villages and The Raw Carrot along with 35+ local artisans. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please contact Ashley Drudge.
Nov 23 (Sat) 5 pm: Church Christmas Dinner. Sign up sheets are by the mailboxes. Payment is by donation (no receipts). After the cost of the food is covered, the balance will be given to Wilmot Family Resource Centre. A ham dinner is provided. Everyone is asked to bring a dessert. November 17 is the last day for sign up.

Continue to pray for the Gingerich family: Shirley, Joanne, Don, Zach & Cole Schwartzentruber; Dave; Mark and family; and Ron & Judy as they grieve the death of Bob.

Nov 14 (Thurs) 7 pm Zion United Church, New Hamburg. Walking Through the Fire, Sultans of String a showing of a visual album. The Wilmot Ecumenical Working Group on Indigenous/Settler Relationships is hosting a free screening of this newly released film.
