Nov 20 (Wed) 10 am: Adult Bible Study in the Fireplace room, led by Wes Leis. Special Scripture Study for this year will be 2 Timothy 3:16 – 4:1-5. Everyone is welcome.

Nov 29 (Fri) 5:30 pm: TGIF meets in the gym and is a meal for young families that you don’t have to make or plan! If interested, RSVP to darryl.drudge@gmail.com by the Wednesday prior. Cost will be split, but it’s usually around $20 per family.

Congregational Life
The Care Team is putting together treat bags (decorated by children at KidsLIFE) for post secondary students during exam time. Today is the last day to contribute.

Choose your own Advent(ure) Calendar from a selection of 60 options which invite us to journey through Advent with intention. Choose as many or as few as you’d like, including a mixture of prayers, scriptures, service opportunities, and Christmas activities. Supplies will be in the church hallway Nov 17-Dec 1.

Eternity Sunday, November 24th. Each year we take time to remember loved ones and friends who have died during the past year. There is a list by the church mailboxes for names of persons to be remembered. Please sign up by Wednesday, November 20. Extended family members of loved ones are welcome.

Nov 21 (Thurs): 9 am – 12 noon Steinmann members are needed to help cut rags at the MCC Material Resources Centre. Thank you for your help.

Nov 22 (Fri): Pastor Sara will be attending a workshop on “Secondary Traumatic Stress: Stress, Compassion Fatigue, and Resilience”.

Nov 23 (Sat) 5 pm: Church Christmas Dinner. Sign up sheets are by the mailboxes. Payment is by donation (no receipts). After the cost of the food is covered, the balance will be given to Wilmot Family Resource Centre. A ham dinner is provided. Everyone is asked to bring a dessert. November 17 is the last day for sign up.

Dec 1 (Sun) 7:30 pm: Area Churches Christmas Choir Concert at SMC. Freewill offering is in support of MCC’s Meat Canning Project. Doors open at 7 pm.

Baden Summer Bible Camp is already starting to think about next year, August 11-15, 2025. To help us discern if this is a ministry that can be continued in its current form, we are seeking a co-coordinator this November. Please speak with Pastor Ben, Courtney Hobbs, or anyone from Gift Discernment.

Joys & Concerns
Happy 83rd birthday to Sam Roth on November 23.

Pray for Bob and Nancy Lebold and family as they grieve the death of Bob’s sister, Bonnie Steinman. Bonnie died of cancer on Nov 13. The funeral will be held in North Bay on November 16.

Continue to pray for Janet Day whose pain from shingles is ongoing.

Remember Reta Bender who was admitted to Grand River Hospital on Tuesday for testing and observation.

Carolyn Steckle was recently diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis which translates into a heavily calcified aortic valve creating a greatly restricted valve opening. She is awaiting an open heart surgery date for valve replacement. Let us uphold Carolyn and Jim and family in our prayers at this time.
