Congregational Life
Beginning Sunday, June 14, our worship services will begin at 10 am. There is no Sunday School in the summer. This start time will continue to, and include, September 6. ~ Worship Committee
Pastor Sara is on vacation May 11 – June 2.

Do you have a pie iron you would be willing to lend to the MYF? The MYF are going camping June 5-7 and are hoping to enjoy a supper using pie irons. Please contact Joanne Schwartzentruber.
A Pie Auction to benefit the MDS Saskatchewan trip will be held on Sunday June 7 at the end of the Potluck at 12:30. If you’re willing to donate a pie to the auction, please sign up beside the mailboxes.

Joys & Concerns
Happy Birthday to Keith Erb (82) on June 4.
We extend our sympathy to the family of Sharon Leis. Sharon died Saturday, May 16. The funeral was at Steinmann MC Thursday, May 28, 11 am.
Continue to pray for David & Doris Martin as David prepares to start simultaneous chemo and radiation therapy.
Community Events
May 31 (Sun) 7 pm: Zion United Church. Theatre of the Beat is performing “Invisible Threads”, an investigative drama that follows a well-intentioned retail employee who discovers a factory worker’s handwritten note inside the new pair of jeans he’s folding. As he begins to pull at the threads, he’s entwined in a sprawling overseas network that leads right back home.
June 9 (Tues) 5-7 pm: Hidden Acres 59th Annual Chicken BBQ and 18th Annual Pie Auction Fundraiser. Purchase tickets in advance by going to www.hiddenacres.ca Steinmann MC has been asked to donate 10 pies for the pie auction. Please let Joanne Schwartzentruber know if you would like to donate a pie and she’ll make sure you get a pie box.
June 16 (Tues) 1:30 – 3 pm: Death Café at the Wellesley Recreation Complex (Room 201) facilitated by Matthew Bailey-Dick. This is an event where people eat treats, drink tea or coffee, and discuss death. Registration is required. Please see poster for more details.
