Congregational Life
July 31 (Thurs) Volunteer Day at MCC Meat Cannery: SMC has been invited to send up to 24 volunteers (8-12 at one time) for two different shifts (9am-1pm & 12pm-4pm). A sign-up sheet is beside the mailboxes. A pizza lunch will be provided. Minimum age requirement is 12. Deadline for sign-up is 12 noon on July 29. For more information, speak with Pastor Ben.
Be Together: Please speak to Janessa Otto or Stephen Yantzi if you would like to come along to see “Quiet in the Land” at the Blyth Festival on Saturday, August 16. Note that this is an outdoor stage. The show is at 8pm and we will try to carpool. Tickets are approximately $55 for adults and $25 for youth under 25. Please speak to us by August 1 if you’d like us to order a ticket for you.
Pastor Louise Wideman is on vacation until August 4.
Lynne Dueck, Office Manager, will be on vacation August 2-11. During this time, Ashley Drudge will be in the office in a part-time capacity.
Pastor Ben Cassels will be on vacation August 3-25.
Hidden Acres Family Camping Weekend: Reminder to sign up for the Saturday supper even if you aren’t going to be camping. The menu is: hotdogs, potato salad, and ice cream bars. As well, you are welcome to bring friends. Please update the number of people attending if you do bring friends. Deadline for signing up for Camping Weekend is August 3.

Congratulations to Delphine and Len Schwartzentruber on their 64th Wedding Anniversary on July 29.
Elmer Zehr is resting at Freeport Hospital. His 94th birthday is on July 31.
Continue to pray for Ralph Gingerich whose health is slowly improving.
