An unsupervised nursery is available across from the washrooms for children ages 5 and under. Parents are expected to supervise their children while in the nursery.

Congregational Life 
Pastor Louise will be on vacation July 19th – 31st, followed by her sabbatical August 1st – October 31st. Please note that during this time of rest, reflection, and growth, Pastor Louise will not be responding to church related phone calls, emails, or texts until her return in November.

Lynne Dueck, Office Manager, will be out of the office starting August 6 with a planned return on August 25. Ashley Drudge will be in the office on Thursdays and in the afternoon on Fridays during
Lynne’s absence.

Aug 9 (Sun): We will have a potluck following the outdoor service at Hidden Acres. Bring food to share and your own table service. Drinks will be provided.

Volunteers Needed to join the MYF at the MCC Meat Cannery on Wednesday, July 29. Two shifts are available (9am-1pm or 12pm-4pm). Lunch will be provided. If interested please speak with Pastor Ben or contact him at ben@smchurch.ca.

Flat Jesus is back this summer! Everyone is invited to take Jesus with them wherever they go, and don’t forget to send in photos to the church office (office@smchurch.ca) to share with the congregation! Copies & instructions are by the mailboxes.

Harvest Table: If you are growing a garden this year and have any extra vegetables, herbs, fruit, flowers, etc. to share, consider adding them to our Harvest Table on Sunday mornings (located across from the mailboxes). Please also help yourself to any of the items from the harvest table!! If you have any questions, please contact Ashley – ad.drudge@gmail.com

Summer Puzzle Activity: Throughout the summer, there will be a jigsaw puzzle set up in the library that all are welcome to work on! Gather around the puzzle table before or after the service to unwind, unplug, and connect!

Joys and Concerns
Helen Boshart received a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, and is anticipating a biopsy on Tuesday. Your prayers for Helen and her family are very much appreciated.

Please pray for Gord and Carol Roth’s son-in-law, Rob McLean, and Rachelle and family. Rob has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. “Pray for wisdom for the doctors and miracle healing. Thank you for your prayers” ~ Carol and Gord

Please join Esther & Glenn Buck as we celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary! Open house Saturday, August 15, 1:30 to 3:30 pm. Steinmann MC Fellowship Hall. No gifts, please! We cherish your
presence!

Delphine Schwartzentruber continues at Freeport Hospital.

We continue to pray for David & Doris Martin as David continues chemo and radiation treatment.

Kameron (son-in-law of Kenton & Sandi Roth) is now at home and receiving physiotherapy. The whole family thanks everyone for their continued prayers as he starts his recovery from home.
