Feb. 23 (Fri) 5:30 p.m.  TGIF is a monthly casual gathering of families with children for food and fun, and is open to all.  Please RSVP to Darryl at by Wed. January 24th  so food can be ordered.

Lent Brochures are in your church mailboxes.  The brochure includes information about the Lent worship theme, dates and times of services and a weekly prayer for the season.

Trip to PA  Oct. 14-18 Sign up sheet is by the church mailboxes. Registration is confirmed when you have submitted $100 deposit per person.

*The flat roof work is moving along well.
*VFT met on Saturday, February 3 for a visioning day – we had 100% participation. It was an inspirational gathering that will shape our conversations moving forward.
*Sunday, April 7 is the new date for the AGM – mark your calendars.

Feb. 21 (Wed.) Ecumenical Lenten Lunches will be held on Wednesdays during Lent. They will begin at 12:00 noon with a short devotional followed by a soup lunch. Donations will be taken to cover the cost of the meal. Additional funds will support the Indigenous Elder Staff Position at the Wilmot Family Resource Center. The first one will be at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Feb. 24 (Sat.) The Coldest Night of the Year is a family-friendly walk to raise money for local charities serving people experiencing homelessness, hurt, and hunger. Feb. 25 (Sun.) at 4:00 p.m. BACH VESPERS For Lent at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, 23 Water Street North, Kitchener. Admission is free; donations are gratefully received.

March 1 (Fri.) 7 p.m. The Registry Theatre, 122 Frederick St., Kitchener presents 2022 Canadian Screen Award winner My Tree, follows a Canadian, Jason Sherman, on an odyssey to find the tree planted in Israel to mark his bar mitzvah when he was 13. March 2 (Fri.) at 7 p.m. Shantz Mennonite Church (2473 Erbs Road Baden) presents an evening of Lenten Worship: Stations of the Cross, followed by meditative Lenten music shared by John B. Miller and Friends. The event is free, but donations are appreciated to support the musicians.

March 9 (Sat.) 7:30 p.m.: Menno Singers present ‘At the Foot of the Cross,’ with cellist Ben Bolt-Martin and Menno Youth Ensemble at Trillium Lutheran Church (22 Willow St., Waterloo). Tickets $25, Child/Student $5 at or at the door.

June 15 (Sat.) Mennonite Historical Society of Ontario is hosting its    Annual Meeting & Niagara Russlaender Centenary Tour.  The tour includes sites in the Niagara region to commemorate the centenary of the arrival of Russlaender Mennonite immigrants in Ontario. for more information.
