12-2 pm – Invite someone to Lunch…then come back to the church for the Pre-AGM Meeting at 2 pm. Invite someone to lunch in your home or to a restaurant for food and conversation. This is a great chance to get to know someone you don’t know already! We want to get back to this kind of hospitality and community engagement that we got away from during the pandemic. VFT members plan to   participate; we encourage everyone to participate as either a host or a guest. After lunch together, come back to the church at 2 pm for dessert and the pre-AGM meeting.

  • March 28, (Thur.) 7:00 p.m. Maundy Thursday Service: A service of contemplative prayers and music (Fellowship hall, in-person only)
  • March 29 (Fri.) 10:00 a.m.  Good Friday Service including communion (in-person & live streamed)
  • March 31 (Sun.) 8:30 a.m. Easter Potluck Breakfast;  9:45 a.m. Easter Worship Service (in-person & live streamed)

March 27 (Wed.) 7:00 p.m. The A/V (Audio/Visual) tech crew is     looking for your help in providing our congregation with its live stream and worship resources. We are looking for people with an interest in either the audio support or the video / live stream support. This is a very rewarding and interesting job. You will be fully trained with lots of time to practice before taking on this role. Join us on the 27th for an informal information session. For more information contact Steve or Cliff Kennel.

April 3 (Wed.) Morning & afternoon – All women invited to the church to knot comforters and/or quilt. Bring a bag lunch. Drinks provided.

April 7 (Sun.) 11 a.m.  AGM followed by a Potluck & Pie Auction.    – Mark your calendars.

April 7 (Sun) Attention all pie bakers (and bidders). We are planning to hold a potluck and pie auction following the congregational AGM. Funds raised will go towards our facilities reserve fund to help cover the costs of our flat roof renewal. Please bring a main course to share for potluck. We will also need volunteers to sign up to bring pies which will be cut up and sold by the slice or whole pies which will be auctioned off to the highest bidder! Sign-up sheet for pie bakers is in the hallway or speak to Janessa Otto.

April 20 (Sat.) Peace and Justice Breakfast has been POSTPONED.  It will be rescheduled later in the year. Details will follow.

August 12 – 16 (Mon. – Fri.) mornings. Baden Summer Bible Camp here at Steinmann’s. We are looking for volunteers for all roles. Please reach out to Courtney Hobbs or email badensbc@gmail.com if you are interested and able to help.

April 4 (Thur.) 7:45 p.m..  Bible Quizzing Study Night, read  Chapters 21-24 ahead of time.
April 5 (Fri) W-O’s Emma – A Pop Musical. We have pre-purchased 16 tickets for the Friday evening showing. Please let Pastor Sara  know if you’d like a spot ($20 each). Priority for tickets will be given to youth, however, if tickets are available, parents (or others) are welcome.

March 27 (Wed.) 10 a.m. The Adult Bible Study led by Wes Leis will start meeting again in the fireplace room at the church. Everyone is welcome.

March 28 (Thurs.) 10:00 a.m. – Women’s Bible study group meeting at the church in the Fireplace area. Read chapter  8 of “Let The Light In”. All women are welcome. Contact person – Darlene Gingerich.

Remember in Prayer
We extend our sympathy to Laverne Gingerich on the death of his sister in law, Shirley Byall-Jutzi.  Shirley, a sister of the late Marjorie, died on Sunday March 17 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Let us remember John and Helmi Wiebe as John anticipates having hip  replacement surgery on Wednesday, March 27.

My sincere thank you to my family and friends for the blessings of love, prayers, visits, phone calls, emails, text messages, and generous donations of food over the past three months. I have been deeply touched by your words of encouragement and caring concern as my kneecap continues to heal.    Forever grateful, Norma
