“BE Together” is a new initiative for 2024-2025 that will provide monthly church-wide all-ages fellowship opportunities to build belonging and connection, amongst our church and with neighbours. Events will be fun, low-key, and provide an excuse to “Be Together” (get it? 😁).
The co-ordinating group of Joy Wagler, Janessa Otto, and Pastor Ben are currently looking for monthly “Hosts” to take turns organizing these events. Examples include Pizza & Board Games, Bowling, Skating, Cookie Exchange, Campfire, Guess-Who’s-Coming-to-Dinner – or use your creativity! If you have an idea or would be willing to host/plan a monthly event, please speak with any of the coordinators.
And our first event is: BE Together…at a Blue Jays Game! On Saturday July 27 we’ll make our way to Toronto to enjoy a game all together (game time is 3:07pm). The plan is to carpool to the GO station at Aldershot (Burlington) and take the train from there. Please sign-up on the sheet beside the mailboxes by Sunday June 30 or speak with Janessa Otto (this event’s Host) for more information, to help organize, or to offer to carpool. We need at least 12-15 commitments before booking tickets. Cost will be confirmed once we know numbers.

August 9-11 SMC Camping at Hidden Acres. Signup sheets are by the mailboxes.
