Thanksgiving Sunday (October 11), you are encouraged to bring food donations to the service to support the Food Bank. Wilmot Family Resource Centre has experienced an increased demand for food assistance so your generosity is appreciated.

Volunteer Needed to Join SMC’s Refugee Sponsorship Team: In 2021 we began a process with MCC Ontario to sponsor the Al Nassouh family from Syria. Our core group at Steinmann MC needs one more member to meet MCCO requirements. To find out more please speak with Kim Lichti, Elaine Finnie, or Ron Roth.

This year the Witness Core Team is focusing on reimagining and re-energizing the Peace & Justice Committee, which is on a one-year hiatus. To help with this process, the Witness Core Team is inviting anyone interested to a 4-session book study this Fall that will dive deep into the Gospel of Luke and The Justice of Jesus by Joash P Thomas. It will take place every other Tuesday evening starting October 13th at 7pm. If you are interested in joining or have any questions, please talk to Pastor Ben or Ashley Drudge by October 1.

Joys & Concerns
Sincere apologies to Jim & Carolyn Steckle on the omission of an announcement last week of their 57th Wedding Anniversary on September 20.

We continue to pray for David Martin, Helen Boshart, Rob McLean and their families as they continue their journey with cancer.

Please keep Tom & Ruthanne Bender in your prayers as Ruthanne recuperates at home.

Lynn Yantzi is home from hospital, recuperating after an angioplasty on Saturday, and feeling well.

Sept 30 (Wed) 5:30 pm: Trinity Lutheran Church, outdoors. Vigil Service, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. A time of Prayer, Music, Reflection and lament. Hosted by the Wilmot Indigenous Relations Interfaith Working Group. Bring a lawn chair and wear an orange shirt.
