KidsLIFE (Grades SK-5)
We meet Wednesday evenings from 6 pm to 7:30 pm twice per month. Our first Wednesday is October 7. Sign up on the church website. *Please sign up by the mailboxes to help provide nut/peanut free snacks.

Jr. Youth (Grade 5-8)
Oct 1 (Thurs) 6:30 – 8 pm: Rock Climbing at Grand River Rocks. Fill out waiver by September 22.

MYF (Grades 9-12+)

Congregational Life
Volunteer Needed to Join SMC’s Refugee Sponsorship Team: In 2021 our congregation began a process to sponsor another refugee family. We made a commitment with MCC Ontario to sponsor the Al Nassouh family from Syria. Things have been progressing very slowly. In the meantime, our core group at Steinmann MC needs one more member to meet MCCO requirements. To find out more please speak with Kim Lichti, Elaine Finnie, or Ron Roth.

Sept 24 (Thurs) 11:30 am or 5 pm: Community Fundraiser (Poor Boys Luncheon) hosted by Wilmot & Wellesley Resource Centre at the New Hamburg Community Centre, 251 Jacob St.

Oct 4 (Sun) 11:15-1pm, Extended Adult Ed – Blanket Exercise and Debrief. Blanket Exercise is an interactive experience sharing the colonized history of our country from the perspective of the First People. Participants experience the role of the Original People of this Land to walk through the story. It will include sensitive subjects such as Residential Schools, Assimilation, and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Children. A time of debrief and lunch to be included.

Joys & Concerns
We continue to pray for David Martin, Helen Boshart, Rob McLean and their families as they continue their journey with cancer.

Sandi & Kenton Roth wish to express their gratitude for the prayers from the Steinmann MC community for their son-in-law, Kameron, who is progressing well.

Community Events
Sept 21 (Mon) 6 pm: Project Ploughshares Gal a fundraiser. Keynote speaker will be the honourable Lloyd Axworthy. Tickets are $70 and can be purchased online or by contacting our office.

Sept 30 (Wed) 5:30 pm: Trinity Lutheran Church, outdoors. Vigil Service, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. A time of Prayer, Music, Reflection and lament. Hosted by the Wilmot Indigenous Relations Interfaith Working Group. Bring a lawn chair and wear an orange shirt.
