December Coin Collection & Special Offering is in support of the Christmas Day Dinner for those alone or lonely, sponsored by Wilmot Family Resource Centre and local churches.

Hats & Mittens Offering: Every week through Advent we are invited to bring offerings of hats & mittens that will be donated. These can be given to children during the Offering, who can then bring them to the front to hang on the tree .

Coffee & tea available in the fellowship hall following the service.

Remember in Prayer
We extend our sympathy to the Erb family — Lyle Erb died unexpectedly on Monday, December 4.  Visitation will take place at Mark Jutzi funeral home on Saturday, December 9, 12 noon – 4 pm.  The funeral service will happen at Steinmann Mennonite Church on Sunday, December 10, 1:30 pm.

Dec. 10 (Sun.) 3 p.m.. Menno Singers and Mennonite Mass Choir        present Handel’s Messiah  a 230 voice choir. Tickets  at the Centre in the Square Box Office.

Dec. 11 (Mon.) 7:30 p.m. Pastors in Exile (PiE; a ministry to Young Adults exploring faith) is hosting an Advent Hymn Sing at WK United Mennonite Church. This event will also serve as PiE Pastor Steph     Chandler Burns’ licensing towards ordination service. Join us to sing and celebrate the upcoming Christmas season while also supporting Steph in this next step in ministry. PiE supporters of all ages are welcome at this celebration!

Dec. 16 (Sat.) 3 p.m. Rockway Mennonite Church presents Dickens comes to Rockway! Actor John Huston (Civilized) brings his character, Charles Dickens, to Rockway and will lead us in an afternoon of    Christmas theatre. Pay-what-you-can donations at the door. You are  invited to bring a plate of goodies to share. Hot drinks will be provided. Email with questions.

Dec. 21 (Thur.) 4:30 p.m. Wilmot Ecumenical Group Longest Night       Service:  A  Longest Night service is a gentle and reflective service for all who are carrying pain or loss during this season of celebration. The service will be held at Zion United Church, 215 Peel Street, New Hamburg.

Dec. 25 (Mon.) at 12 p.m. Wilmot Family Resource Centre (WFRC), in partnership with the Wilmot Ecumenical Ministerial, is hosting a FREE, SIT-DOWN Christmas Dinner for those in Wilmot and Wellesley who are alone or lonely on Christmas Day at Steinmann Mennonite Church.       Contact WFRC by December 15th for reservations information: or 519.662.2731.
