Congregational Life
New laminated green cards that read “I/We give electronically to the ministries and mission of Steinmann Mennonite Church” are available to place in the offering plates.  These cards provide a tangible way to participate in the act of worship we call offering.  The cards are found in the clear plastic holders on the backs of the pews.

Our “Names of God Quilt” is growing! Each week you are invited to write a name for God that has been significant to you on the quilt patches in the hallway. It can even be the same name for each week.

Oct. 27 (Fri) 5:30 p.m.  TGIF is a monthly casual gathering of families with children for food and fun, and is open to all. This month’s TGIF is hosted at Darryl & Ashley Drudge’s home. Please RSVP to Darryl at ad.drudge@gmail.com by Wednesday October 25th so food can be ordered.

Nov. 1 (Wed.) Morning & afternoon – All women invited to the church to knot comforters and/or quilt. Bring a bag lunch. Drinks provided.

Nov. 11 (Sat) 3 – 4:30 p.m. Come to our first “Baby Shower” for babies around the world – assembling MCC Infant Care kits. Refreshments provided by the Mennonite Knotters and Quilters. If you cannot come to the baby shower on Nov. 11, please bring items for the babies and drop them into the tub in the front hall. Thank you.

Nov. 18 (Sat.) 9 – 2 p.m. 9th annual Makers Market. There will be 35+ local vendors including Ten Thousand Villages again this year. We have a wide variety of volunteer roles to fill! If you are interested, please contact Ashley – ad.drudge@gmail.com or 519-998-2955.

Small Groups
Oct. 24(Tues.) 10 a.m. The Adult Bible Study led by Wes Leis will meet in the fireplace room. Studying “Exploring the New Testament”. Everyone is welcome.

Oct. 26 (Thurs.) 10:00 a.m.Women’s Bible study group will meet at church in the Fireplace Room in person and by Zoom. All women are welcome. We will have a devotional and prayer time followed by a    discussion of what the group would like to study this fall. If you have questions or plan to join by Zoom contact Darlene Gingerich.

Remember in Prayer
Give thanks that surgery went well for both Gord Roth and for Judy Gingerich.  They are grateful for ongoing prayer support as they recuperate at home.

Wayne Leis was released from the hospital October 18.  He continues to recuperate at home.  Joyce and Wayne appreciate your support through cards and prayers at this time.

As Louise Gingerich’s health declines, let us remember Ralph, Louise and family.

Larry Wagler’s health continues to improve.  He is awaiting more tests and results in November. Thank you for your prayers.

Continue to pray for Nyle and Kathleen Hofstetter and family.
