MCCO’s Active Bystander Workshop for our Wilmot community

via Zoom, is on Tuesday June 8, 7:00-9:30 p.m. or Thursday June 10, 1:30-4:00 p.m.

The Training Active Bystanders (TAB) program helps participants recognize when they are bystanders. It teaches how bystanders can interrupt harm doing and instead initiate positive action. Active bystandership does not mean aggression against the one causing harm. It means taking responsible action to help people in need instead of remaining passive and becoming complicit. Bystanders gain the competencies they need if they decide to take action when they witness something they feel is unfair, or wrong, or troubling. This workshop is suitable for people over the age of 13. Cost is $20/person. If cost is a concern, subsides are available, please be in touch with Gladys Bender or Pastor Sara.
