Our May “Special Missions Project” (formerly coin offering/online offering) is Meserete Kristos College in Ethiopia.  Our goal is to provide $1,750 for their new kitchen and multipurpose hall and a $3,250 scholarship for one student. Many students sacrifice much to train as new leaders of new congregations in very low income areas. Please donate directly to MC Canada: Designate your gift under “Add a Message.”


We continue with very limited hybrid worship services, with up to 6 people in attendance who register in advance.

Our SMC Giving Garden donates produce and proceeds from sales to the Wilmot Resource Center.  A great way to give back to our community.  Volunteers (all ages) help with: preparing the beds for planting, design and layout, planting seeds and seedlings, watering/weeding and harvesting. You can donate: garden tools, extra seedlings (any plant or flower), garden stones or concrete, bird baths and gardening gloves. Please contact Elaine Finnie or Paulette West

Congratulations to Betty Roth who is celebrating her 90th birthday on Sunday, May 16.


Congratulations to Robert & Shirley Gingerich who are celebrating their 54th anniversary on Thursday, May 20.


Remember in Prayer

Pray for the family of Mildred V. Roth who passed on last Saturday. A graveside service with immediate family was held on Friday.


Don Steinmann’s surgery on Monday went well.  He was able to come home on Tuesday, where he is recuperating.  Thanks for your prayers on his behalf.

May 9, 2021 recommendation from Vision Focus Team with input from Pastor Congregation Relations Committee: That we hire a full-time Pastor of Worship and Care to join our full-time Pastor of Formation and Pastor of Witness. This proposal had been brought to the congregation over a year ago on March 15, 2020, the last Sunday before lockdown.
