As we have returned to the sanctuary for Sunday worship, we are experimenting with a family friendly space at the back of the sanctuary. This includes tables with quiet activities for the kids (additional activities found on the table in the foyer). This space is well used and much appreciated by families. Contact Worship Committee with any questions.

Guidelines for Worship

  • Mask wearing and physical distancing is encouraged.
  • Stay home if you feel ill for any reason.
  • Sit in every other pew and 2 m apart unless you arrange otherwise with the person(s) seated next to you.
  • You are welcome to sing if you are wearing a mask.
  • Colouring sheets and craft items for children are available at the back of the sanctuary.
  • The nursery room is available, unsupervised.

11:00 a.m. Hybrid Program Meeting, June 26th immediately following the worship service (in-person and on Zoom). Hear a few updates on ministries of the church, review and approve the slate of volunteers. Details on connecting virtually will be provided in next Thursday’s email.

June 26 (Sun.) Noon – “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner”  a chance to reconnect and eat with others in the congregation. You can sign up on the cards available on the table between the church mailboxes. Please indicate whether you prefer to host or be a guest, number of people, any allergies, and a preference for either indoor or outdoor gathering. Return the response card to the box on the table or email your response to Care Team Chair, Christine Helmuth at chriggy5@gmail.com by TODAY.

June Special Offering: “One Lunch.” Contribute the equivalent cost of one lunch in our community to assist lower income global brothers and sisters to attend Mennonite World Conference Assembly 2022 in Indonesia. Give directly to https://bit.ly/3zekXQb.

We are receiving items for relief kits, hygiene kits and soap that is much needed for MCC’s shipments of emergency supplies to Ukraine. See mcco.ca/kits  for details of kit contents or find lists on the table next to the mailboxes. ‘Cash for kits’ allows MCC to purchase items in bulk at less cost and to cover shipping fees. Place items in the box provided during children’s offering, or during the week in a box inside the church’s main entrance.

July 3 (Sun.) 10:00 a.m. Outdoor worship service of hymn singing and sharing, at Bob and Gladys Bender’s.  Please bring your own chair or blanket to sit on, as well as your own dishes and a food item to share for our first potluck! The service will not be livestreamed, rather it will be posted to the website later on Sunday. If the weather is bad, then we will meet at the church.

Aug 5-7 Church Camping at Hidden Acres. Sign-up sheet for overnight camping is on the table by the mailboxes. For more information or questions, talk to Anthony Helmuth.
