With the province’s reopening plan we took a cautious approach at the start using a limit of 50 people in person, even though we were allowed to have 15% of our capacity or 75 people attend our worship services. Just over 30 people have attended in person during the past two Sundays and it has gone well.  We now plan to move our limit to 75 people in person for worship starting July 4th. Livestreaming will continue.  If you have any questions, please contact the church office.

Monthly giving focus for July:  Hidden Acres Single Moms Camp, “a safe and caring camp experience which provides a rest-filled and fun program for low-income single mothers and their children ages 5-12.” This year it is being offered as a Day Camp August 2-6. https://hiddenacres.ca/donate.

As we journey throughout the Summer Worship series, the Worship Table reflects various adventures and journeys as well! Camping, going to the beach, fishing, hiking and travelling the globe! If you look closely you will see linens from Turkey, the colourful one from the area of

Cappadocia – where there were underground cities and hidden churches in the early days; my Grandma, Alice Bender’s bible – in which I found a postcard (from Africa) from Viola and Victor Dorsch! Hanging in the tree is a dreamcatcher that was made when a group from our church went to Timmins on an Indigenous Learning Tour through MCC and of course…..hand sanitizer and a mask. Can you spot one other important player in our day to day adventures?! Kim Lichti.

Remember in Prayer

During the summer months we are encouraged to pray for our sister Mennonite Church Eastern Canada congregations in our geographical cluster: Hillcrest, Mannheim, Nith Valley, Nithview community, Shantz, St. Agatha and Wilmot. Pray that God will inspire our imaginations as we follow God’s leading and call.
