Monthly giving focus for July:  Hidden Acres Single Moms Camp, a safe space of belonging, rest, fun, learning and peace for low-income single mothers and their children ages 5-12. This year it is being offered as a Day Camp for about 20 families August 2-6. Donations will help with the additional daily transportation costs as well as grocery cards, care packages, craft supplies and resource speakers. https://hiddenacres.ca/donate.  Thank you for helping these families feel noticed and valued!

As we journey throughout the Summer Worship series, the Worship Table reflects various adventures and journeys as well! Camping, going to the beach, fishing, hiking and travelling the globe! If you look closely you will see linens from Turkey, the colourful one from the area of

Cappadocia – where there were underground cities and hidden churches in the early days; my Grandma, Alice Bender’s bible – in which I found a postcard (from Africa) from Viola and Victor Dorsch! Hanging in the tree is a dreamcatcher that was made when a group from our church went to Timmins on an Indigenous Learning Tour through MCC and of course…..hand sanitizer and a mask. Can you spot one other important player in our day to day adventures?! Kim Lichti.

Next Sunday July 11

Coming Steinmann Events

August 9-13 Baden Summer Bible Camp 2021

This summer, BSBC will be offering an intergenerational camp where parents and caregivers stay with their children while participating and experiencing Ancient Rome. We invite you to bring the whole family and any friends who might be interested in attending. Here we will meet Paul and some of his friends in the underground church.  During our time in Rome, we will see how Christians experienced their faith in everyday life. If you have questions contact badensbc@gmail.com.  We are excited to offer an outdoor Bible Camp experience during this time of COVID-19 restrictions and uncertainty.  We will be following the COVID-19 Safety Guidelines for day camps.  To register:  https://bit.ly/2Uz6qMG

Remember in Prayer

The millions who are suffering from violence, abuse, loss, homelessness and hunger as a result of war in Ethiopia’s Tigray region.

Calling all garden weeders:

We are in need of some people to help keep the Giving-Garden weeded over the next month.  The garden has been giving us a LOT to harvest each week…along with a lot of competing weeds.

Beds have been mostly weeded but need some maintenance.  Those who would be willing to spare an hour a week or just a one time visit, please contact Elaine Finnie at froesee@gmail.com.

Tools, including hand spades and hoes are onsite in the garden box.  Watering cans and water is also onsite.

Here’s a quick peak at the hidden beauty growing in Steinmann’s Giving Garden.

Thank you for your continued prayers and donation of time
