Feb. 5 (Sun.), 2- 5 pm. “Land, People, and Covenant (Treaty!): Rediscovering the Doctrine of Discovery”  seminar at Waterloo North Mennonite Church co funded by Steinmann Mennonite and other congregations. Derek Suderman will lead reflections on the biblical and theological logic that grounded European “discovery” of the Indigenous people and their lands along with how it continues to reverberate today.

Prayers are requested for Kathryn Bender, who was admitted to St Mary’s Hospital on Wednesday with pneumonia and a blood clot in her leg. She is wife of the late Richard Bender. Richard was a brother to Tom and Ruthanne Bender.
