March 1 (Tues.) 7-8 p.m. AGM information session on Zoom. Bring your questions, aspirations and input for the health and work of our congregation.

March 2 (Wed.) 9 a.m. – noon and 1 – 4 p.m. Women are invited to the church to knot comforters and/or quilt for MCC’s Winter Warm Up.  Lunch break at Schmidtsville Restaurant, call ahead 519-662-2861 to reserve a spot.

March 2 (Wed.) 5:45-7 p.m. Intergenerational Ash Wednesday, outside in the church parking lot. We are excited to be planning a kid-focused intergenerational event for all ages (adults and seniors included) to mark Ash Wednesday. Come out for music, Bible story, campfire, activities, and marking ourselves with ashes as we begin our Lenten journey. Yes, there will be hot chocolate and a treat to take home .(Organized by Paulette West, Pastor Liz, Pastor Sara).

March 6 (Sun.) 11:00 a.m. Annual General Meeting.  Hybrid, in person and zoom.  The report booklet is available now (digital and hardcopy). Information sessions ahead of the AGM, planned for Feb 27 (Sun.) 11 a.m., and Mar. 1 (Tues.) 7 p.m.

Conrad Grebel University College is still accepting applications for 2022 programs in Master of Theological Studies (uwaterloo.ca/theological-studies) and Master of Peace and Conflict Studies (www.uwaterloo.ca/mpacs ).

Our Indigenous neighbours are still appreciating hot food at the Land Back site in Caledonia. Our next meal will be delivered March 11/22. Let me know at gladysbender@hotmail.com if you are interested in contributing.

Mennonite Central Committee’s Circles of Support and Accountability program addresses the traumatic impact of sexual offenses and the need for effective prevention.  Unless funding is secured beyond March 2022, several CoSA sites risk closure or reduced programming. Pray and ask your MP to support CoSA. mcco.ca/CoSA-funding-crisis.

Help quilting is still needed to complete the Relief Sale quilt for this year’s sale. Call the church office and book a time on Wednesday – Friday.  A maximum of 2 people at a time.
