  • Check this past week’s email for information booklets including a detailed agenda. On Friday, copies were mailed to those without email. Some printed copies are available at the church during office hours.
  • Those who attend worship in person may remain in person for the AGM. All others, please join via zoom after the worship service.
  • In order to pass resolutions/votes, we need to have quorum. Your participation is vital in this work of the church. Please plan to attend either in person or via Zoom.
  • Please send your questions in ahead of time. Asking questions ahead of time is especially important when most of us cannot meet in person. Finance questions can be sent to VFT Secretary Treasurer Dwight Brenneman; all other general inquires can be sent to VFT Chair Steve Wagler.

March 11 (Thurs.) 7 – 8 p.m. MEDA Network Event Series, Faith and work in a Pandemic. This virtual panel discussion about the impacts of COVID-19 on the community members, businesses, and organizations in Waterloo, Ontario. Register to attend.

Haudenosaunee Land Defenders continue to stay on reclaimed land near Six Nations, Ontario. They demand a halt to development without the Six Nations community’s consent. If you would like to contribute to a meal for the Land Defenders on March 12 please contact Gladys Bender for details. gladysbender@hotmail.com. Several church communities are contributing each week to show support. Thanks to the generosity of many people we have provided 2 meals.

We have returned to hybrid Sunday worship services – limiting our gathering in person to under 30% of capacity. Priority for in-person worship will be given to those who do not have access to livestream, who live alone, and/or have limited contact outside their households during the week. All others, please continue to access the livestream as before. Help to keep everyone safe.

Silver Lake Mennonite Camp Waterloo/Kitchener/Floradale Day Camp. Outdoor and distanced active games, nature discoveries, crafts and connecting with new and old friends. Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) partners and local communities across the globe engage in peacebuilding to address some of the complex reasons why people are forced to leave their home.  No one should be forced to flee their home in the first place. Congratulation to Leonard Schwartzentruber who is celebrating his 82nd birthday on Wednesday, March 3.

Larry Boshart who is receiving care at St. Mary’s Hospital for difficulty in breathing.

Ken Boshart who has been moved to 8th Fl at Grand River Hospital and continues to slowly improve.

Pray for Rose McAllister who continues to wait in hospital for tests and surgery.
