Summer Sunday schedule – 10 am worship; 11 am coffee time – will continue through Sunday, September 3.  We will return to the fall Sunday schedule – 9:45 am worship – on Sunday, September 10.  Since that particular Sunday includes the installation service for Pastor Ben Cassels, there will a potluck meal following worship; no Sunday school.

Congregational Life

Aug. 29 (Tues.) 4 – 5 p.m. & 6:30 p.m. Pickleball.

Aug. 31 (Thurs.) Salsa/Canning Extravaganza: Location:  Steinmann Church Kitchen. Start time 6 pm. This is open to anyone interested         in learning to can salsa. Some vegetables will be sourced from our    Steinmann MC giving garden. You will take a jar home with you. Minimal cost will be shared by participants. All are welcome. Please RSVP to Elaine Finnie , 226.748.3585 by Wed. Aug. 30.

Sept. 10 (Sun.) A short in person congregational meeting following the worship service. It will include a vote to approve Richard Steinmann as the incoming secretary-treasurer on Vision Focus Team (VFT) as well as an informational meeting regarding the flat roof project. There will be a zoom link for watching purposes only.   – Vision Focus Team

Personal Notes
We are delighted to welcome Pastor Ben and Kendyll Cassels and their children Elysse and Rowan to our congregation. Ben’s installation service will be on September 10th.

Congratulations to Barb Zehr who is celebrating her 94th birthday on Sunday, August 27.

Remember in Prayer
Nyle Hofstetter has been transferred to the Ingersoll Hospital since he is no longer in acute care.  Continued prayers are appreciated for both Nyle and Kathleen in this ongoing health sojourn.

Alex Lebold began her chemo treatment Wednesday. She needs to live alone during the ten day treatment. Pray for the Lebold family during this time of change.

Louise Gingerich was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer. She is hospitalized in Kitchener and began radiation treatment Thursday. Pray for Ralph and Louise in this difficult time.

Tasha (Steckle), Matthew and family as she continues through another 3 week program of chemo therapy. Pray for strength as she encounters various degrees of side effects.

We continue to remember Sandra Roth’s family as they grieve her death.

Ruby Gingerich and family as they live with changes in their lives.
