3 – 7 p.m.  Sunday S’mores! – Everyone is invited to Ralph & Louise Gingerich’s home, 2168 Carmel-Koch Road, St. Agatha, to enjoy sitting around the fire, catching up with others and visiting with Pastor Louise. The Care Team will make the s’mores; bring your own hot dogs to roast and snacks to share. Bring lawn chairs & tableware. If it is raining the event is cancelled.

Congregational Life
Sept. 4 (Sun.), 10 am.Outdoor Worship Service at Kenton & Sandi Roth’s farm, 1272 Waterloo St., just west of the church. A service of singing and sharing stories of hospitality and connection. The service will not be livestreamed but posted to the website later in the day. Please bring your own chair or blanket to sit on. Shade is limited so you are welcome to bring an umbrella. Bring a food item to share for potluck lunch, as well as your own dishes and a way to keep food hot or cold until it is served.  Swimming is available; provide your own supervision. If weather is inhospitable, we will meet at the church.

Sept. 7 (Wed.) Morning & afternoon – All women invited to the church to knot comforters and/or quilt. Bring a bag lunch. Drinks provided.

Sept. 13 (Tues.) 7:00 pm. – Thank you for your generous support of our Ukraine Relief focus which has enabled us to sponsor 30 relief kits. You are invited to the MCC Material Resources Warehouse adjacent to the New Hamburg Thrift Store to help pack the kits for shipment this fall. Please sign the sheet on the table by the mailboxes if you can help. Your participation is appreciated.

Our Indigenous neighbours are still appreciating food at the Land Back site in Caledonia. Our next meal will be delivered Sept 2/22. Let me know in person or at if you are interested in contributing.

Update on “Water on Wheels,” our June 2021 special offering project. 50 steel wagons have arrived in Attawapiskat! Chief Nakogee has arranged for the wagons to be taken to the health center for distribution to elders and single parents who will use them to transport safe drinking water from community depots to their homes.
