April Special Offering: Help a team of 18 youth and adults with travel costs to Glace Bay, NS, July 9-15 to help Mennonite Disaster Service restore homes damaged by the hurricane in September.  Give to Steinmann Mennonite Church, designated “MDS Travel Fund.”

Adult Ed: Fireplace Room. Over the next few weeks we will be engaging in a variety of topics that will help us practice our peaceful conflict skills. April 23 – Racism, May 7 – LGBTQ+, May 14 – Climate Change, June 4 – MAID.

Flowers for worship:  During the months of June, July, and August 2023, we invite your participation in worship by providing floral arrangements for the communion table.  These flowers can come from your own flower beds or they can be purchased.  Plan to add your name to a date on the sign up sheet by the church mailboxes.  Worship Team

April 25 (Tues.) 10 a.m. The Adult Bible Study led by Wes Leis will meet in the fireplace room at the church. Studying “The Uniqueness of Jesus”. Everyone is welcome.

Interfaith Annual Online Silent Auction Fundraiser
Interfaith Counselling Centre (ICC) is collecting auction items such as a product, gift certificate for a service or experience to be auctioned virtually on May 15th – 28th, 2023. For more details see the letter and donation form on the table by the mailboxes.

Congregational Notes
Pastor Sara will be on vacation until April 30th, followed by Sabbatical May 1st  – July 29th.  Please note that during this time of rest and study, Sara will not be responding to church related, phone calls, or texts until her return in August.

We give thanks for the creativity expressed visually in worship.  Special thanks to Michelle Wagler for her creative displays through the season of Lent and into Easter.

We had 16 volunteer rag cutters at the MCC material resources centre.  That is a record number from Steinmann MC. The men took up the challenge and equaled the ladies until the last hour. A special thanks to the men who came.

The Property Committee is selling the church’s Cub Cadet riding mower, 22hp.  42-in zero turn with steering wheel. Good condition, 420 hours. Runs well. Used for Church cemetery and property, 8 years old. Contact Glen Gingerich 226-972-9580.
